London 10 February 2023: The BD100 list for 2023 has been announced, celebrating the UK’s best new business professionals. The BD100 is published annually honouring the UK’s outstanding 100 business developers and placing them in their deserved spotlight. For its fifth year, The BD100 is released in partnership with ALF (Media Business Insight) and its ALF Awards, creating an even bigger platform to commemorate the best of the best in business development.
The BD100 launched in 2018 as a vehicle to celebrate and support business development professionals. Five years on, the community is bigger than ever and continues to be celebrated annually. New business is the lifeblood of any agency but isn’t for everyone. Its success rests on those superstar new business individuals who steer the agency to victory, the BDs who can navigate through the good and the bad and sustain prolonged success for themselves and the industry over the short and long term.
Jody Osman, Co-Founder of The BD100 and Group Director of Growth at Propeller Group, explains the ongoing support of The BD100: “Due to the nature of the role, new business often has its fair share of highs and lows. The joy of a big win is often followed by increased expectations and questions around what’s next. We must continue to honour and invest in these best-in-class business development professionals and help them thrive.”
At this year’s awards the first cohort of superstar BDs will be welcomed into The BD100 Hall of Fame, celebrating the individuals who have been honoured five years running.
Jody Osman goes on to say: “To make The BD100 is a great achievement and shows that you can deliver success over the long term. However, special recognition goes to this year’s Hall of Fame stars, who have kept delivering the results to make it five years in a row. To deliver sustainable new business success like this takes forward thinking, real skill and a lot of tenacity.”
The Awards ceremony will take place in London on 19 April, when The BD100 winner and Rising Star will be announced, alongside the ALF Awards, including Best New Business Team, Win of the Year and Best New Business Initiative.
