PR Account Director
Propeller PR is seeking a highly motivated, ambitious Account Director looking to lead a busy account team handling a growing list of clients in the media, marketing, advertising and technology sectors.
You are probably either an established SAM looking towards their next role or an AD looking to flex their muscles. You excel at leading and motivating and as part of the role, you will have direct responsibility for managing all the staff in your account handling team. You will have at least five years B2B PR experience – two of those in a role where you have led or played a significant role in delivering results. You must love both the traditional (newspapers, magazines, TV, radio) and new media worlds, and be able to move effortlessly between them.
At Propeller, you will have access to Propeller’s wide network of contacts and the opportunity to attend industry events both in the UK and overseas. In the past year, Propeller has represented clients at Cannes Lions, Mobile World Congress, Dmexco and South by South West. You will also play a central role in sales & marketing activities for Propeller and you will work with the MD and CEO on interpreting briefs, pitching proposals and winning clients that expand your own portfolio. As part of this we operate a very generous bonus incentive scheme.
Based in the heart of the West End on Charing Cross Road, Propeller’s client experience ranges from working with media industry giants like WPP and Disney to fast-growing digital economy players such as TubeMogul and Quantcast. Not only do we have excellent media contacts and a thriving social media department, but we also have a mobile apps development team that has several apps already on the Apple iPhone platform. We have also recently launched a new content division headed up by ex-Marketing Week deputy editor Branwell Johnson.
We make our clients’ products, people and ideas famous through offline, online (including social media and SEO) and eyeline channels (events and face-to-face communication). Our approach involves shaping and sharing compelling content with the influencers who are important to our clients. We’re also a fun, lively and sociable team – recent team outings have included ping pong at Bounce, karaoke and a trip up the Shard.
