Countdown to Cannes

With 12 weeks to go, Cannes Lions 2024 is fast approaching. Last week, we were delighted to bring together industry friends and clients for an inside scoop on preparations for the festival from Cannes Lions CEO Simon Cook. 

This thought-provoking conversation and ‘Countdown to Cannes Lions’ dinner gave us advanced sight of several initiatives that Cannes Lions will be announcing very soon, and allowed many of us around the table the opportunity to share viewpoints that might mould future Cannes Lions festivals.

For many, this time of year is crunch time for Cannes Lions event planning, where companies start to cement activity and look for the best ways to amplify their presence during an extremely busy week. At Propeller, we look forward to this week  each year, and work with a number of clients to ensure they get the most out of the festival. 

Empower Cafe

We are looking forward to being in Cannes again this year, and proud to be working alongside WACL and Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity to bring the women-led Empower Cafe to life at the festival. 

By joining forces with the festival, along with Bloom, TimeTo, The Women in Programmatic Network and Join Our Table, people of all genders can gather to forge meaningful connections, share expertise, and foster a supportive network. 

As we champion diversity and inclusion, the Empower Cafe brings the underrepresented voices of women to the forefront of Cannes Lions, sparking vital conversations and empowering professionals in a relaxed and collaborative environment. 

There’s an opportunity for companies to get involved in this important part of the event through sponsorship, allowing them to champion women-led content. 

Fringe Events and Parties List

Following the enormous demand last year for our ever-expanding ‘Cannes Lions fringe events and parties list’ (which incredibly had over 1,000 downloads before the festival even started), plans are already underway to bring this back again for the festival this year. 

This summary of all the fringe events and parties taking place outside the Palais has gained cult status amongst attendees from all over the world, giving them a sense of what is going on – and a heads up on who to get in contact with for those all-important guest-list sign ups. We’ve already started compiling the list for this year – so if you have got a heads up on anything planned – drop us a line to have them included.
