It was a busy night for Propeller as we attended both the 2016 Media Week Awards and the IAB UK Digital Upfront.
We enjoyed the Media Week Awards at a Propeller table in the company of a handful of our clients. Martin Loat, Founder of Propeller Group, Kieran Kent, Managing Director and Matt Phillips, Client Services Director of Propeller PR were joined by Nick Fox, Founding Partner of Atomic London, Simon Pont, Chief Strategy Officer of Brave Bison, Carl Erik Kjærsgaard, CEO & Co-founder of Blackwood Seven, Henrik Busch, Co-founder and Managing Director UK of Blackwood Seven, Guy Sellers, Chief Executive of Total Media, Olivia Allan, Business Development Manager of Social Circle, Matt Nash, Managing Partner UK of neo@Ogilvy to watch the top talent in the industry pick up their well-earned gongs.
There were many worthy winners on the night with PHD Media and ITV being particularly successful in the awards ceremony.
On the same night, we were delighted to also attend YouTube’s event at the IAB UK Digital Upfront – “Cultural moments and new stars… on a phenomenal scale”. Google’s team of experts were out in force with Pete Cory, Agency Director of Branding, Alison Lomax, Head of Brand Solutions and David Black, Director of Branding all explaining the importance of YouTube as a marketing platform.
Michael Doherty, Digital Director of Cancer Research UK told the audience that “YouTubers were at the heart of what we did” when talking about their 1000-hour live-stream of fundraising.
Performing was the brilliant Ella Eyre and a couple of lucky Propellerites even got a selfie with her afterwards!
Two lively and engaging industry events which we are delighted to have been a part of.
