Last week saw a squad of Propellerites head down to the home of football (aka Wembley Stadium) to watch the Lionesses in their Women’s Euro qualifier against Sweden.
The game may have ended in a draw, but that didn’t detract from the incredible atmosphere. The stadium was almost sold out, underscoring the immense growth and popularity of women’s football since the Lionesses first won the Euros in 2022.
Whether it was their first taste of football or simply the first time seeing a live women’s match, everyone in attendance left with a sense of pride at the direction women’s football is heading.
The Lionesses didn’t secure victory. However, we’re incredibly excited to see them develop this year and roar them on moving forward!
